SEEDS OF CHRIST

In Matthew 13:24 onwards, the parable of the sower shows us that the children of the Kingdom and the children of the wicked one coexist until the time of harvest. It is therefore important to differentiate the children of the Kingdom from the children of the wicked one.

You can recognize them by their fruits. The tares, which are the children of the wicked one, do not bear fruit, whereas the children of the Kingdom bear fruit. And this fruit is the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22).

Galatians chapter 5 verse 23 states, “And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.”

The landowner could have easily had his laborers uproot the tares in the land, but he waited until the harvest. This is because as children of the Kingdom, even though we can be raptured at any moment, there is a purpose for our existence here on earth, which is to spread the Kingdom of heaven. Our harvest time comes the day that we draw our last breath. Until then, we will abide with the children of the darkness and spread the Kingdom of Heaven. And on the day of Harvest, we, the righteous, shall shine forth as the sun in the Kingdom of our Father (Matthew 13:43).
