Our day to day lives may be huddled with many activities, endeavors, responsibilities etc. in our quest for fulfillment. One significant thing that we can absolutely do without in our life-walk are relationships. No one was born lonesome we all have relationships. Whether its family or relatives, friendships, colleagues, acquaintances we all have people we connect with or are connected to in some way, degree or capacity on daily basis. You may have known and experienced the warm embrace of a parent in trying times or the joy of a childhood friendship that has stood through the tests of time. But whatever value you may place on any kind of relationship you have today, there is one relationship that far exceeds every other, and makes all the others work and that’s a relationship with our heavenly father.
Without this relationship life is absolutely worthless and empty. There are people in our world today who think and believe they are alone. They have fearful, self-defeating and even suicidal thoughts probing them every now and then. They believe they have nobody and that they are good for nothing and useless even though God calls out to them daily. There are several reasons why they may feel this way, it may be an issue of their upbringing, a history of abuse and neglect, challenges and negative life experiences. But one thing we need to understand is God did not create us to be this way. All the evils that beset humanity have an origin. The scriptures reveal to us that through the transgression of Adam sin and death passed to all men. The advent of sin introduced calamity and destruction. But in God’s endearing and all-encompassing love for us, he sent us Jesus his Son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but be saved(John 3:16). Once you believe in Jesus, confessing him to become the Lord of your life everything changes (Romans 10:9-10).
Once a man receives Jesus or becomes born again, he or she gives God access to his or her life. so if you are not born again and you are reading this, receive Jesus into your life today. The Holy Spirit is the greatest companion you can ever have.
He is the Father who walks with you and in you. He knows everything about you to the detail because He made you. He understands you better than you do yourself. He can help you discover yourself if only you will give heed to his counsel. He is the Spirit of truth here to guide you into all truth (John 16:13). He will help you determine what is right and what is wrong. He will help you understand what is good for you and what is not. He will show you the way you should go. With him you can’t be amiss or lost. You cannot be confused or frustrated. His very breath is light and life that transmits a depth of understanding to the seeking soul that far exceeds and is beyond science.
He is far better to confide in than any earthly companion. He is flawless in every way and because he made this whole world, you couldn’t find anyone else far better to help you navigate this life than him. Make him your first call in every situation. As a child of God he is always with you do not accept the deception from the pits of hell that you are all alone and have nobody. Call on him and He will answer. Do not neglect Him by neglecting a life of prayer and meditation on the Word. When he shows you what to say, what to do and where to go, follow through – you can never err by doing so. His path is Glory only – there are no regrets with Him. A relationship with the Holy Spirit is worth everything. He is the ultimate companion for the ages.
